Crucial goals in the wins over Dagenham & Redbridge, Notts County and the draw at Boreham Wood saw the 29-year-old pick up his first player of the month accolade in Pools colours.

Elsewhere, Torquay United boss Gary Johnson was named manager of the month following a run of six wins and a draw in April to take The Gulls to the top of the National League.
