Hartlepool families warned of Nottingham Knockers after reports of another cold caller
On Thursday, December 5, Hartlepool Trading Standards confirmed that they received a call from someone near Albion Terrace reporting "Nottingham Knockers" trying to sell household goods.
The male seller is described as around 25-30 years old and wearing dark clothing with a dark bag.

Hide AdIan Harrison, Trading Standards and Licensing Manager for Hartlepool Borough Council said: “Please be vigilant and advise any vulnerable relatives in the area.
“Nottingham Knockers are usually males who claim they have just been released prison and are going door to door selling household goods for £10 each to ‘get back on their feet’.”
“If you refuse a sale, the callers in this instance are becoming very abusive. There is a risk that customers could be at risk from distraction burglary.”
The public are advised to call 999 if they will not leave and remain abusive.
