Great North Air Ambulance called to Hartlepool town centre after man was discovered unconscious in car park

Emergency services were called to the underground car park at Middleton Grange Shopping Centre shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, March 10.
It is understood that a man was found unconscious with head injuries, prompting the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to request assistance from the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA).

Hide AdThe NEAS dispatched specialist medical teams to the scene, where they were supported by a doctor and paramedic from the GNAA who quickly flew to Hartlepool town centre.
It has been confirmed that paramedics took the injured man to North Tees Hospital via road.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.36pm today (Wednesday, March 10) to reports of an unconscious man with head injuries in the underground car park of Middleton Grange Shopping Centre in Hartlepool.

Hide Ad"We dispatched a specialist paramedic, an emergency ambulance and requested the support of the Great North Air Ambulance.
“We took the patient to North Tees Hospital by road.”
A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance added: “We were called to Hartlepool at 1.06pm today to reports of a man with a head injury.
“We flew to the scene in 12 minutes with a doctor and paramedic on board.
"We worked with North East Ambulance Service on scene before leaving the patient in their care."
