Warning following reports of two men robbing a woman in Hartlepool after offering her lift

Their investigation has led them to remind people to organise transport back home before they begin a night out.
The incident is said to have happened on the A179 Marina Way, near to the Asda superstore, in Hartlepool, at around midnight on Saturday, June 26.

Hide AdCleveland Police have said that a woman reported getting into a black Range Rover with two males who offered her a lift but then threatened her and that her bank card was then stolen.
The males are both described as white and in their mid-20s.
The reported driver of the car had light brown short hair.
He was bare-chested, with a slim build, a tattoo on his left arm and a gold chain around his neck.
The passenger in the car was possibly wearing a cap and sports top and reported to be tubby, with dark hair and a pale complexion.
Detective Constable Dave Angel, from Hartlepool CID, said: “We are investigating a report of a woman being robbed by two males who initially said they would drive her home for a small sum of money before demanding more cash and reportedly stealing her bank card.
