Hartlepool United were soundly beaten by Bristol Rovers after a poor first-half performance at the Memorial Ground.

Pools trailed 3-0 at the break and despite pulling a goal back through Billy Paynter, they couldn’t get back into the game.

Matty Taylor fired a first-half brace for Rovers, with Rory Gaffney’s strike sandwiched between them.
