Brierton School is on top form in these old snaps - can you spot yourself?

Brierton School features twice in our latest collection of old Hartlepool class snaps.

The first photo, showing the Secondary Modern in 1964, was provided by Mail reader - and ex-Brierton student - Les Wilcox.

Les has also unearthed a 1955-57 shot of pupils at Rossmere Infants - a school which opened in 1954, and was named after a nearby lake.

“I hope these photos will jog a few memories,” he said.

A second photo of Brierton, this time taken in 1959, has been sent in by John West - who was in his final year at the time.

John has also provided a shot of Golden Flatts Infants in 1951, taken just a few months after the school opened on October 23, 1950.
