Body found on beach near Blackhall Rocks

The body of a man has sadly been found on the beach near Blackhall Rocks.

Durham Police were called at around 10.30am on Tuesday, March 14, following reports that a body had been discovered.

A man was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The force said in a statement on Wednesday morning: “Officers attended and, sadly, a man was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
